Veterinary medicine is a subject Dr. and Mrs. Lohr have always enjoyed together and as a family. Along with their five children, they moved to the West Plains area in the fall of 1974. A year later a veterinary clinic was established for large and small animals and was very much a family affair for many years. A satellite clinic was started in 1976 at Davenport, WA., and Dr. Lohr formed a partnership with Dr. Richard Whipps. Ten years later the practice was sold to Dr. Whipps and his wife, Joann. Dr. Lohr then did private relief work in Eastern Washington for two years then entered public practice for five years.

In the spring of 1993 plans were started to open a new clinic in the Valley. In the fall contracts were signed, and the extended family was again mobilized for another clinic.

We are so pleased with our clinic here in the Valley! We have never enjoyed ourselves so much! Thanks to you, our clients, each day just gets better and better!

Even more important is the service by which we may help our friends and neighbors as clients with their favorite pets!  We thank you for the privilege of serving you with friendly, professional care.

Shauna has been in the Veterinary field since 1998 starting out as a volunteer while still in high school. Over the years, her work at many clinics grew a love for the Technician aspect of the field and she became licensed in 2005.

Since her husband is Air Force, she has had the chance to see a lot of country and is also licensed in Oregon and Montana. Currently she is perusing a management degree with a goal of one day being able to manage a Veterinary Hospital.

When not at work or school, Shauna enjoys spending her free time with her husband and step daughter preferably in the mountains. They live outside of Cheney with their Blue Heeler named Maverick and Lilac Point Siamese named Rodney.
